Catherine Nashed
Practice Summary
Catherine Nashed is an attorney in the Ontario office of Cole Huber LLP. Catherine serves as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Indio and Deputy City Attorney for the City of Yucaipa. Catherine also advises the City of Hemet’s Department of Code Compliance. Catherine assists clients with all aspects of public law, including procurement, public contracts, code enforcement, the Public Records Act, the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, real estate, and other municipal services matters.
Prior to joining Cole Huber, she served as litigation counsel to public entities in all phases of federal and state litigation. Catherine also gained valuable insight to public entity defense and municipal practice while serving as a law clerk for the Riverside City Attorney’s Office. There, she worked alongside some of the office’s most senior attorneys, assisting in a wide variety of cases, and helped secure several judgments in favor of the City.
Education & Admissions
Catherine graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Law and Society. She earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While attending law school, Catherine received several notable honors and awards including Dean’s list, an Academic Excellence Award, a Distinguished Advocate Award, and a Pro Bono Honors Society Award.
